IRP at Data Days 2023

IRP presented a session on Where Does Georgia Tech Data Go? This informative discussion touched on the types of data generated by Georgia Tech and how it flows across campus for internal use and outward for use by external parties such as:

  • The University System of Georgia
  • Federal Agencies (e.g., IPEDS)
  • Accreditation Associations (e.g., SACSCOC
  • Publishers and Surveys (e.g, U.S. News & World Report)
  • The Academic Community (e.g., AAUP)

IRP is one of the founding members of Data Days, a conference series that was launched in 2022 at Georgia Tech. Data Days is part of the Office of Information Technology Data Excellence initiative. The goal is to empower GT faculty, staff, and students with the knowledge and tools to harness the full potential of data.

The theme for the 2023 Data Days conference, held October 23-25 in the Bill Moore Student Success Center, was Empowering You. Participants had an opportunity to immerse themselves in data practices, insightful reports, and dynamic analysis, as well as engage in collaborative discussions and learning experiences that put data at the center of decision-making.
