The Office of Institutional Research & Planning (IRP) proudly represented Georgia Tech at the 65th annual AIR Forum, held May 19–23, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. As the premier global gathering for higher education professionals in institutional research, this year’s conference brought together thought leaders from across the country to explore the future of data-informed decision-making.
A standout moment from the forum was a dynamic discussion group session co-led by our own Dr. Jason Wang, Senior Director for IRP, alongside Ben Bond of Georgia State University. Their session, titled “Stepping In and Stepping Up: Leading in the Interim,” tackled the often-overlooked challenges and opportunities that arise during leadership transitions.
Drawing from their recent experiences as interim IR leaders, Jason and Ben shared candid insights on navigating uncertainty, maintaining operational continuity, and building momentum during times of change. Their conversation resonated with attendees facing similar transitions, offering practical strategies for succession planning, team stability, and adaptive leadership.
Georgia Tech’s presence at AIR Forum 2025 reflects our ongoing commitment to shaping the future of institutional research through collaboration and fostering a resilient, forward-thinking IR community.
