Jason Wang and Samantha James from Georgia Tech’s Office of Institutional Research and Planning (IRP) recently participated in the Spring 2025 Regents Administrative Committee on Institutional Research and Planning (RAC-IRP) Meeting, held in person at Middle Georgia State University on April 21–22. The event brought together institutional research professionals from across the University System of Georgia (USG) for two days of dynamic discussions, strategic updates, and cross-campus collaboration.
As Chair of RAC-IRP, Samantha James played a central role in organizing and leading the meeting. Her leadership was instrumental in shaping the agenda and ensuring a productive and engaging experience for all attendees.
The meeting featured key updates from the USG office, along with thought-provoking sessions on emerging trends and future initiatives in institutional research and planning. A highlight of the event was the joint collaboration with the Regents Administrative Committee on Effectiveness & Accreditation (RACEA), which enriched the dialogue with diverse perspectives and shared goals.
Speakers from USG institutions, the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, and the USG state office contributed to a robust agenda. Presentations from Steppingblocks and USG representatives sparked meaningful conversations around data innovation and student success.
Overall, the meeting offered a valuable opportunity for institutional research professionals across the USG to connect, exchange ideas, and explore strategies for supporting student and institutional success.
