The Association of American Universities Data Exchange (AAUDE) recently convened its annual meeting, hosted by Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania from May 5 to 8 in Princeton, New Jersey. Georgia Tech Institutional Research and Planning co-facilitated a thought-provoking session titled: “Forget ‘SciCommers’ (Science Communicators). What about ‘DataCommers’ (Data Communicators)? 2023-24 IPEDS Reports for Georgia Institute of Technology
IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) is a comprehensive survey system conducted annually by the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). It collects data from colleges, universities, and technical institutions participating in federal student financial aid programs. Researchers, policymakers, and education stakeholders rely on IPEDS data to understand the landscape of higher education and identify patterns and changes over time.
2023 Data Feedback Report
The 2023 Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Data Feedback Report is available on the Institutional Research & Planning (IRP) website. IPEDS is a set of surveys that collects data from all postsecondary institutions which are eligible to receive Title IV funding across the United States and other U.S. jurisdictions. These data are used by states and the federal government for policy analysis and development and by institutions for benchmarking and peer analysis.
2023 Fact Book
Georgia Tech’s 2023 Fact Book is now available on the Institutional Research & Planning (IRP) website. This Fact Book provides information about the Institute, including faculty, student admissions and enrollment, and more for Academic and Fiscal Year 2023-2024. You’ll also find information about tuition, financial aid, and housing, as well as Institute research and finances.
2024 Biennial Report
Institutional Research & Planning (IRP) resumed publication of the Biennial Report which had been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2024 Edition introduces IRP staff, their interests, areas of expertise, and accomplishments. You’ll also find information on how IRP uses Institute data for external reporting, including federal and state compliance reporting, and helping units with support for business processes and strategic planning.

GT Moves Up to 17th Nationally in NSF HERD Rankings!
The FY2022 NSF HERD R&D Survey Data was recently published on November 30, 2023, revealing Georgia Tech has moved up nationally in the rankings! In FY2022, Georgia Tech is ranked 17th nationally and 1st among public universities without a medical focus in total research and development expenditures.
